According to Korean news outlet Electronic Times, an LG offical has been quoted on record as saying the LG Voyager will be coming to AT&T and Sprint sometime this year. The phone has sold 1.1 million units as a Verizon exclusive with its touchscreen front and flip-open keyboard. IntoMobile questions the success the Voyager would have against the iPhone on AT&T's network, as the two phones are in direct competition against each other. Going to Sprint would also put the Voyager in a cat fight against the recently launched Samsung Instinct. We have yet to hear officially from LG on the matter, so for now, we'll file this under rumor. [Electronic Times via Into Mobile]

Ha ha the voyager only sold 1.1 units!
I guess it was just the mainboard, minus the transmitter.
Hehe!
How much of the phone do you get for .1?
i dont know if verizon will be happy if their best unit is also sold on other networks
My wife has the Voyager and it's a pretty slick phone. Now for the power user, but then again, she isn't. It's kind of like a smartphone for someone who really doesn't need a smartphone.
Ugh. Verizon can take their behemoth eyesore and stick it right up their SHORTCUT MENU.
@satan gave me a taco: no, they can stick in in their DONKEY DOOR.
the Voyager and enV lines of devices are verizon exclusives. Verizon pays for exclusitivity.
Besides, to go on ATT they would have to redo the entire phone board to get it to be a GSM phone.
Sprint would be an easy release though.
But i highly doubt its gonna happen
I've used this device extensively, and it pales in comparison to an iphone or windows smartphone.
The OS in the voyager is kind of lousy. No ones going to buy it, because it smells like dead fish poop.
I compared a coworker's new Voyager to my iPhone. What a hunk of junk. The touch interface was worthless. You had to press hard on the screen to scroll, and by pressing hard you were inadvertently selecting items. The whole look and feel of the thing is distinctly third-rate, especially next to the iPhone. How about that "Touch to Unlock" with the cheesy script font and the red-framed lock icon. Looks like something from the Web circa 1995. And half the icons are direct ripoffs of Apple's stuff. But hey, the camera had an X-ray effect, and my iPhone doesn't! Yeehaw!
I felt bad the guy actual paid money for this thing.
If this is the "iPhone Killer," Apple has nothing to worry about. Nothing whatsoever. Go ahead and put this next to the iPhone, AT&T. It will only help you sell more iPhones.
Think different, LG.
Lgs phone is better then apples icrap.
Ive used both. I own the voyager. Its the better phone. Period
Meh, I'm still waiting for the Glyde. It's the Voyager with a slide-out keyboard, which is all that I've ever really wanted.
Hope springs eternal and all that...
Keep telling yourself that, nitefire77. Keep telling yourself that.
yea, and you just stay in your flock with the other isheep
nitefire77 do you have any reasons at all to why you think the Voyager is the better phone. You know other than the obvious reason that you want to be cool and hate apple because it is superior?
I can see Sprint, but AT&T?
@Sqube: and I think the Glyde will have at least a Windows OS vs that Voyager BS!
the glyde has the same interface as the voyager
Ya... Well on T-Mobile I can use... Ummm... never mind.
@nitefire77:
It's one thing to say the Voyager is better, but to call the Iphone crap is just plain ignorant.
I've used them both side by side for hours, and the only two things better about the Voyager are the keyboard, and Stereo Bluetooth.
Both phones have their advantages and disadvantages.
