Sonos is admired for their elegant, if expensive, wireless home audio systems, so it only feels right that soon you'll be able to turn your iPad into a $500 Sonos remote. Now why can't I do this with iTunes?
This is actually a pretty appealing idea. I'm finding that I end up carrying my iPad around the house a lot while listening to music on it via headphones—something my MacBook's too big for, and something that feels weird to do with an MP3 player—so turning it into a wireless remote seems like it would be even more satisfying. The iPad-updated Sonos Controller app will be available for free this August.
