According to sources who spoke to Digitimes, ASUS subsidiary Pegatron Technology has just received the go-ahead from HTC to build their Android tablet, which is said to be running on one of Nvidia’s Tegra 2 chipsets, and will include a touchscreen with 1280 x 720 resolution, 2GB of RAM and 32GB SSD. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS are also said to be present.

We’d heard previously that HTC’s tablet will go on sale early 2011, running Android 3.0, but today Digitimes is reckoning on a rough price of $790, based on the estimated Taiwanese price of $25,000. [Digitimes]
