The CBS What’s Trending Twitter feed, tied to the show by Shira Lazar, posted and then removed a tweet announcing that Steve Jobs had passed away. (UPDATED)
While it subsequently removed the tweet, you can still see the original text because so many people retweeted it.
We’re hoping for an update from What’s Trending explaining what gives.
Update: What’s Trending just updated to say its tweet was “unconfirmed.”
Update 2: Shira Lazar just posted an apology.
