I’ve thought it was a bit odd that Logitech, who has made some of my favorite iPod docks, had yet to produce an AirPlay speaker by now. That seems like it’s gonna change soon if this Amazon UK listing is any indication.
Dave Zatz found the Logitech Air Speaker hiding out on the Amazon UK site, and while specs are pretty vague, it says that it will, in fact, stream using the AirPlay protocol and provide a dock for devices. Zatz thinks the Air Speaker will cost somewhere around $300, which doesn’t sound too far fetched, although it’d be nice if it were cheaper. For now we wait and ogle. [Amazon UK via Zatz Not Funny]
