While they haven’t caught as much flack as GoDaddy did for appearing on the SOPA supporters list, Nintendo, Electronic Arts, and Sony Electronics have officially withdrawn their support of the despised bill.

While I’m sure all three companies are genuinely concerned about the threat of online piracy, it’s obvious they’re even more concerned about bad publicity. And given what GoDaddy recently went though, including the declaration of December 29th as being ‘Leave GoDaddy Day‘, I suspect these companies were more than happy to sever ties to the controversial SOPA bill.

So that’s three more SOPA supporters down, but many more to go. [Business Insider via Joystiq]
