I love double standards, especially when they’re exhibited by large corporations. Just like Vevo, a joint venture between some of the biggest record labels in the world, streaming a pirated NFL playoff game at one of its events.

Tech Crunch is reporting that Vevo was caught streaming the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens game as part of a January event at the Sundance Film Festival. It clearly wasn’t an accident, either: it was being played through a couple of TVs and numerous laptops.

Vevo insists that the event was produced by an outside agency and that the feed was terminated when Vevo discovered that pirated content was being screened. Of course, guys. Did that coincide with the end of the game? [Tech Crunch]
