Adobe has announced that the latest version of its professional-level Creative Suite, CS6, is available to purchase from today for both OS X and Windows. Those of you waiting for the Creative Cloud distribution will have to wait a couple of days longer, until May 11th.

CS6 ranges in price depending on which package you plump for. A single license for the rather wonderful new Photoshop will set you back $699, while the full 16-app Master Collection will require $2599. The impending cloud option provides access to all of Adobe’s professional tools for a $49.99 monthly fee, which is actually pretty good value.

If you’ve been using the CS6 beta, expect to see that privilege disappear soon. [Adobe]
