See’s Candies celebrated National Lollipop Day (which is apparently a thing) on July 20th by unveiling its record-breaking confection—a 7,003-pound version of the company’s signature Gourmet Lollipop—in San Francisco’s Justin Herman Plaza.
The gargantu-lolli measured a whopping 4-foot, 8 3/4-inches in length, 3-foot 6-inches in width, and 5-foot 11-inches in height. It’s mounted on a nearly 12-foot stick and, even though the stick didn’t count towards the final weight, the lollipop still broke the previous record set in 2009 by nearly 500 pounds.
If you’re headed to the Giants-Dodgers game on Sunday the 29th, you are in for a treat! The record setting candy will be on display at the ballpark during the game. [HuffPo via Geekosystem]
