    Quick suggestion: since the #whitenoise tag is now the "official" name of the informal forum, can we get a link up by the "share" box/banner next to tips, dealzmodo, broken, etc....to make it easier to access?

    OK, a few questions. So you have to go to the white noise page then hit start new discussion and then your comment will only appear on the whitenoise page. As opposed to posting directly below a main posting with the whitenoise hashtag, which will cause the comment to appear on both the post and the whitenoise page? Is that correct?

    @Bertone77: It took me a couple of read-throughs, but yes it seems you are correct. If you start a conversation here, in whitenoise, it will only appear here. If you include the tag in a regular comment, it's considered a thread of the article that you can just happen to also read here.

    It appears the difference between an exclusive whitenoise conversation and an article comment thread is the "In reply to _____" thing above the first comment in a thread.

    I'm guessing this will just be confusing for a while. :-/

    My guess is the "white noise" isn't just straight white noise. This sounds more like the effects of some frequencies of Binaural Beats, which usually place white noise over them, as some people are sensitive to frequencies and report feelings of nausea etc. The beats are actually effective at several things from induced lucid dreams to pain relief depending on the frequencies.
