Still curious how Syfy’s TV version of 12 Monkeys will differ from the Terry Gilliam film version? Well here ya go, because this TV series explainer basically lays out the entire (slightly altered) version of the post-apocalyptic, time-traveling series.
There are a lot of differences, the main one being that Cole isn’t a jailed convict struggling for his own life and the future lives of the world. This version of Cole appears to be a well put-together future man, who is working by his own free will to solve the mysteries behind the 12 Monkeys. Ourfirst impressions of the pilot were good, so we’re excited to see more—and excited to hear what you all think. The new series will premiere on January 16th, 2015.
