The winners of this year’s Nikon Small World Competition have been announced, showcasing the best microphotography that 2021 had to offer.
This is the 46th running of the annual competition, which recognizes the year’s most outstanding microphotography across a wide range of scientific disciplines. A panel of judges selected 20 winning entries, and also images worthy of honorable mention and distinction.
