Sources in Taiwan are dropping hints that Apple is poised to launch MacBooks with 64-bit Merom processors as soon as this September. As the rumor goes, Apple’s manufacturers in Taiwan will start churning out such MacBooks sooner rather than later. This would come just a few weeks after release of the Mac Pro, Apple’s first professional desktop based on an Intel processor.

Rumors have been circulating for a few weeks now with respect to Apple’s designs on the latest Intel mobile processor—Merom—announced back in May.
