The Secret Service just said that bullets hit the White House. One of the bullets smashed a window but was stopped by ballistic glass on the interior and another was found on the White House’s exterior. Everybody seems to be safe.

Luckily, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama aren’t currently in the White House, having traveled to California, Hawaii and Australia in the past few days. This White House shooting incident comes after witnesses said they heard gunshots exchanged between two speeding vehicles on Friday near the White House but the Secret Service has yet to “conclusively connect” Friday’s incident with the bullets found near the White House on Tuesday. An AK-47 was also found in an abandoned car about a half a mile from the President’s home (on Friday).

At the moment, there’s an arrest warrant out for Oscar Ortega-Hernandez, a 21-year-old Hispanic Man, for the alleged Friday shooting. No word on any suspects for Tuesday’s shooting. [NY Times, Image Credit: Kropik1/Shutterstock]
