Hasbro’s Lite-Brite is one of those brilliantly simple toys that has stood the test of time. It doesn’t need an upgrade—at least that’s what we thought until we saw this giant Everbright board that replaces those colored plastic pegs with dials that can reproduce any color you can imagine.

Created by San Francisco’s Hero Design, the Everbright is designed to help boost workplace productivity through creativity, unlike more common office distractions like ping-pong or pool tables. Each dial is filled with multi-colored LEDs and as they’re rotated they slowly morph through millions of different hues.

The board can also be programmed to play back a couple of screensaver-like animations when it’s not being played with. So you could have your company logo flying around, pixelated versions of famous art, or a simulated window peeking outside.

The standard version of the Everbright comes with 464 colored dials and a $25,000 price tag—which is a far cry from the $20 Lite-Brite toy you can still buy. There’s also a more extravagant 928 dial version of the Everbright that sells for $50,000, or a compact 232 dial option for $14,000 that’s still a bit pricey to install at home. But if you’re startup with more VC money than you know what to do with, this seems like the perfect way to make your offices seem hip and cool for the eight months you’re in business.
