Years ago—before marketing headphones to tweens became a billion dollar industry—Dr. Dre wore headphones that weren't Beats. He had to! He may be a Beats maker today, but back then he was a beat maker, and those guys practically live in their cans. What headphones did he use? Well, at least at one studio, he was rocking Audio-Technica's ATH-M50.
ATH-M50s are a bit of a cult headphone, and for good reason. They're studio cans, so they have a neutral sound and they're comfortable for long sessions. They're also relatively affordable, at least compared to some headphones. Right now at Amazon, a pair of black, coiled ATH-M50s is $102. That's Amazon's lowest price ever—back in November, the ATH-M50 was our deal of the day at $105 before it bounced back up to $130. This deal means you can pick up a pair of headphones Dre would use for half the price of Beats. [Amazon]
Best Buy's done it again. For the past couple of weekends, it's been running promotions where it picks one Apple product and takes between $100 and $200 off. Two weeks ago it was the iMac. Last week it was the MacBook Pro with Retina. And this week it's $100 off the Macbook Air—which, because it's cheaper than both the iMac and the rMPB, is the best deal percentage-wise of them all. The code MOM25 takes another $25 off—so right now there are four different models of Macbook Air that are cheaper new at Best Buy than anywhere else.
Amazon's price-matched the $100 off but not the $25 code, but if your state hasn't yet been hit by the taxhammer it could be a better deal than Best Buy.
Of note, all models on sale only have 4GB of ram, and the last time Best Buy put MacBook Airs on sale the discounts were almost twice as large.

Featured this on Monday but I've recieved so many tips about it that it's worth repeating. Right now, the most recent 7-inch Kindle Fire HD is at it's lowest price ever for Mother's Day. The code FIRE4MOM knocks $20 off a Kindle Fire HD. The entry-level option is $180 after the code. [Amazon]
