Artist James Lewis works in the Creative Studio of the UK’s National Space Centre museum—a setting that’s clearly informed a lot of his concept work.

Of the above piece, inspired by a recent course he took with acclaimed concept artist Andrée Wallin (Rogue One, The Force Awakens, Oblivion, Godzilla), Lewis writes, “After Earth is reclaimed by the forces of Nature, the remnants of humanity cling to the hope of an off-world life aboard the abandoned ISS.”

Here’s another work he created, deliberately styled in the Star Wars vein, as part of the Wallin workshop. It’s titled “Outpost Farewell:”

Here’s another departure scene, just as scifi-themed but with a far less barren setting. It’s titled “Cliffside Platform:”

Check out more of Lewis’ work at his website.
