The Expanse is returning next week, and Syfy is ramping up the hype with its promos—including one simply titled “Why Fans Love The Expanse,” and a recap of season one performed by cats. Most recently, “The Powerful Women of The Expanse” offers a reminder of how badass the show’s female characters really are.
Of particular interest are the moments with season two’s most important new character, Bobbie Draper (Frankie Adams), a fierce believer in the Martian cause (with the military skill to back up her convictions). I’m really looking forward to seeing the entirety of the scene in which the formidable Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo) advises whoever’s trying to mansplain for Bobbie to “stand down and let her speak.”
