Park Chan-wook, director of The Vengeance Trilogy, Thirst, and Stoker, delivers an enigmatic short film filled with riddles. An inventor goes to meet an eccentric investor, one who insists on making the inventor follow a series of clues and bizarre requests before considering his new technology.
If you think there’s a strange emphasis on menswear in this film, it’s because Park made A Rose Reborn for men’s clothing company Ermenegildo Zegna. But somehow, he manages to make the clothes a plot point—something as odd as everything else in this globe-trotting journey.
