In yet another cross-platform product announcement, computer-pro Acer is joining the CE masses with the PD113P Home Cinema Center, a wide-screen DLP projector bundled with a Philips Home Theatre System that includes 5.1 surround sound speakers with amps and a DVD player. Of course, you can also use the projector with other inputs, such as a portable DVD player, laptop or any other computer. Acer's projector has a contrast ratio of 2000:1, 16.7 million displayable colors, 1700 ANSI Lumens brightness and a 200W user-replaceable NSH lamp with about 3,000 hours of life in it. It's also small and, hopefully, not too much of an eyesore. Oh, and as usual, we're not sure when we'll see it here in the US.
