In January 1985 — well over a year and a half before the first issue of Watchmen would hit stands — Alan Moore had a short interview (click to enlarge) in Amazing Heroes #65 in which he gave a quick and dirty synopsis of the comic.
I love how hilariously understated Moore’s description of the book seems in retrospect. By the author’s own admission, the book contains approximately “one or two surprises!”
