I think this is my new favorite way to re-watch movies that I have seen a million times already: just follow the story through the close up shots. It works surprisingly well! As in the of The Matrix, you can see Neo’s progression from outsider to The One and all the things that happened in between with just close up shots.
The Matrix: Up Close was tightly edited by Roman Holiday and is a great reminder of how great that movie was.
