The all-new Amazon Alexa tablet 8 offers a long all-day battery life to keep you going for hours and hours. It’s also pretty lightweight and thin, so carrying it to school, the office, or even just a cafe doesn’t feel like a hassle at all.
Prices start at $230 for the version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and go up to $300. Today, though, you can grab one for a little less at Amazon. The basic Graphite version is now $200, after a 13% discount. If you need more storage, the one with a spacious 128GB drive is currently sitting at $250, down from $280. Plus, you can save another 20% on your total when you trade in an eligible device.
Supports a full day of use
This thin tablet is super easy to carry around. The modest-sized 8.7-inch display is perfect for users who don’t want too big a screen; just something that lets you read, stream, video call, or even get a bit of work done comfortably. It’s also compact enough to be used with a single hand, so you won’t be stretching your fingers too far or feel forced to use your other hand, either.
The 8MP rear camera and the 5MP front camera are decent for both taking photos and video calls. You get all the core applications installed, plus can download a lot more with Google Play. Amazon apps like Prime Video, Kindle, Audible, Amazon Music, and Amazon Luna sync across devices with a single sign-on. This way, you can continue your games, shows, songs, and more exactly where you left off the last time! Everything feels quite smooth too, all thanks to the combination of an 8-core chip with 4GB of RAM.
Battery life doesn’t disappoint, either. The tablet can support a full day of use when you’re mainly browsing, watching YouTube videos, or reading. Power-hungry apps are likely to drain it faster, but you should still have enough to not reach for your charger frequently.
Prime members also get free access to Alexa+ (a smarter version of the original virtual assistant), plus fast, free shipping, Prime Video, Amazon Music, unlimited Amazon Photos storage, and plenty more perks! You can now grab the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version of this newest tablet for $200 on Amazon, or pick up the one with 128GB storage for $250. This offer applies to the Graphite version. It comes in two other colors, but those aren’t discounted at the time of writing.
