When the wildling Ygritte said “You know nothing, Jon Snow” several million times in the Game of Thrones’ books, she wasn’t joking. So I guess it makes a little sense that Ygritte — in the spirit of education — would narrate this animated mini-documentary about the Night’s Watch, which will included as an extra in the Game of Thrones Season 2 Blu-ray set. Of course, being a wilding, Ygritte (played by Rose Leslie, here and in the show) is just a tad biased against them, but hey, if Jon Snow knows nothing, then something is gonna be better than nothing, right?
There will be several other mini-docs in the set, including a history of Wildfire narrated by the pyromancer Hallyne, posted below. But if you’re still in a Night’s Watch-y kind of mood, you can head over to MyWatchBegins.com to record yourself saying the Night’s Watch oath, and adding it to a mass recording. It’s kind of ironic, because I guarantee the recording already has way more people than are actually staffing the Wall than in the TV show and the books combined. Ha ha! It’s funny because they’re doomed!
