A futuristic green-haired sexbot-assassin who gains awareness and goes looking for her origins in 3-D? All Aphrodite IX needs is Brett Ratner to direct, and it may be the perfect Saturday night mindless multiplex movie.
The movie – adapted from Top Cow‘s 1996 comic of the same name – is being developed by Top Cow, Platinum Studios and Threshold Entertainment with a view to being an ongoing franchise. Threshold’s Larry Kasanoff gives a hint as to what kind of movie we should be expecting:

Suddenly, I’m imagining the Resident Evil series meets Dollhouse starring Painkiller Jane’s Kristanna Loken. In 3-D. Which, to be honest, doesn’t sound like the worst thing in the world…
