Apple's latest patent for laptops shows a collapsible port scheme that lets you hide and show connectivity ports when necessary. These ports—USB, Ethernet, Firewire—take up most of the room on the sides of laptops now, and if Apple ever gets around to releasing an ultra-portable notebook, being able to hide ports will be super useful. The best part is that each port is independent so it, like ninjas, only flips out when necessary. [Apple Insider]
like ninjas, only flips out when necessary
Do ninjas only flip out when necessary? I guess I am not hip to the ninja to geek lingo these days.
I also question the usefulness of hiding a port. It might make the device look more pretty if you do not see those ghastly ports when not in use, but it is hardly "super useful". Then again, maybe "super useful" means "another silly patent" in ninja talk, and I am not understanding that, either.
