Ruh roh. 9to5Mac reports Apple’s checking certain Verizon iPad 2 serial numbers, and sending offending units back to China mid-transit. SAI says “The iPads are having problems viewing and editing account information after activating with Verizon’s network.” Is yours delayed?
The problems would jibe with earlier reports of 3G connectivity issues—but if the ‘Pads are being sent back to the plant instead of waiting on a software fix, the problem could be worse than originally believed.
