The rumored Apple Store makeover is underway in Australia (they’re many hours ahead of us) and it looks like iPad 2 has found its calling and has become the product label for Mac products in the Apple Store.

The iPads are encased in a tough plastic cover and used to peep specs, compare models, see features and even hail down an Apple ‘Specialist’. It might seem a little overkill, but having interactive displays with the all-familiar touchscreen as your product label is kinda, sorta freaking neat. I do wonder how these new iPad 2 as product labels weigh into any iPad 2 supply shortages. [9to5Mac via TiPb]
