A year on, Nike's Flyknit technology (a second skin, if you will) continues to permeate the company's running shoe line. Today Nike announced the Flyknit Lunar1+, an ultra lightweight, all-purpose runner that combines a Flyknit upper with a cushy Lunarlon bottom.

By combining the two technologies, the Flyknit Lunar1+ is probably the most responsive and comfortable running shoe. See, the Flywire tech in the upper sole—the brightly colored bits and pieces—flexes and tightens to accommodate the natural movements of the foot without all the added material that may cause friction found in other shoes. The amount of pressure from each foot strike is dispersed along the whole of the Lunarlon bottom for greater response and a pillow-like ride. The shoe's platform is said to be neutral, so it'll probably work for any type of runner. For anyone that pronates, like me, you'll probably want to head to a runner's shop to get properly fitted.

And, according to Nike, the use of Flyknit tech cuts down on waste by about 80 percent compared to other running shoes in the line and makes it even more breathable for those of you whose feet sweat a lot. The Flyknit Lunar1+ drop next month in a variety of colorways. No word on price. [Nike]
