During a recent Reddit AMA in promotion of Evil Dead Burn (via Bloody-Disgusting), Sébastien Vaniček revealed he’d like to direct a new film adaptation of The Mask skewing “closer to the comic books.”
I think I would dig into The Mask, but make it closer to the comic books. The comic books are actually very, very violent and dark.

Screen Rant has a new poster for Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence, which is now slated for an August 7 theatrical release in select major cities. Starring John Astin, David Koechner, Eric Roberts, Catherine Corcoran, Dan Bakkedahl, Myrna Velasco, Vernée Watson, and Paul Bates, the story concerns “a young biotech prodigy [who] develops a revolutionary genetically engineered vegetable designed to solve humanity’s problems. But when the experiment spirals out of control, it unleashes a new generation of killer tomatoes, setting the stage for another outrageous chapter in the long-running cult franchise.”
