Stephen Amell, who uses Twitter with the same force as a firehose, welcomed an old friend back to the set of Arrow. And while we are almost certain it’s a flashback and not an actual return, I’m still good with it.
Amell tweeted a shot of what is definitely the Deathstroke mask and tagged Manu Bennett, who played Slade Wilson:

The CW confirmed Bennett’s return to io9, but didn’t have any more details about what might happen when he comes back. However, we can speculate a little. We know from set photos that the crew has been back at the island, despite the fact that everyone involved has promised we’ll stop going back there for years now. And with everyone dying and coming back constantly on this show, we do sort of hope that they don’t try that plot again.
I like seeing Deathstroke, because while there were some ridiculous bits of his whole arc, it reminds me of a time when I anticipated Arrow every week. Sorry, Ollie, you may have started the fire but I warm myself with Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl now.
