Art Lebedev's apparently as bored of the Optimus keyboard as we are, which is why they're releasing so many weird products lately. Their latest, a clock, is a timepiece that shows you the time in "writing".

Yes, instead of digits or a bunch of hands, it says "midnight", or "two sixteen a.m.", or whatever time it happens to be. Cool, yes, but worth $158 (or $183 after September 1)? Probably not.

I have a watch from Arnette that does this already. It's called the Arnette rectangle. It can flip between digital, analogue-like, and words. It's a nicely designed watch too. Even has a built in magic 8-ball when you hold down the light button.
It's in wristwatch size already. I wear it everyday.
