A number of brilliant artists contributed their unique vision to The Fifth Element, including Gaultier and Moebius. But one of the main influences on the film was Jean-Claude Mezieres, the comics artist whose time-travel comic director Luc Besson is adapting. Mezieres’ art and designs for The Fifth Element have been around for a while — there’s some on his website, and you can buy signed prints — but some really nice high-res versions just went up online at Imgur.
