iHome hasn’t had the best rep for putting out stellar products for a while, but its new fully-wireless and rechargeable iW1, which was announced alllll the way back at CES, actually looks pretty awesome.
The iW1 uses the AirPlay or the iHome Connect app to stream audio over your Wi-Fi network from iTunes or an iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It’s also got a rechargeable Lithium-ion, a capacitive touch control panel and its own remote. And it actually looks decent, too. But the big sell is the portability, so you can take it to parties or outdoors or when you occupy some public space that’s central to the 1 percent in your local metropolis. It’s $300 and out today.
