While we may have to wait two weeks for the delayed conclusion of comic storyline Batman RIP, the aftershocks are already leaking out… like the fact that DC Comics are cancelling the long-running series for all of Batman’s sidekicks. February 2009’s issues of Robin, Nightwing and Birds of Prey – all of which have run for over a decade – will be their last, DC confirmed yesterday. Still uncomfirmed are rumors that the series will be relaunched as Batman And Robin, Red Robin and an unnamed third title to reflect the post-RIP changes to the Batman mythos. [Newsarama]
