25. Scream
For as many sure bets as there were at the movies this year, there were also some pleasant surprises, one of them being Scream. (TechnicallyScream 5, but what is a semi-reboot if not eager to make title confusing?) With a solid lineup of newcomers and series veterans coming in to be more than obligatory cameos, Scream 5 was plenty of fun, plenty gory, and provided some nice slasher goodness to start off the year with.
