Beyerdynamic’s New Wireless Headphones Have Ridiculously Beefy Battery Life

But not an overly beefy price tag.

A long battery life isn’t the end-all-be-all when it comes to wireless headphones, but it feels a lot more important when you get on the plane and realize you’re seated right next to a crying baby.

For those who get even the slightest amount of battery anxiety, Beyerdynamic’s new Aventho Y, which it unveiled at IFA 2026, might be the salve you need. According to them, this pair of wireless headphones gets up to 90 hours of battery with active noise cancellation turned off and 60 hours with it on. For reference, even flagship pairs of wireless headphones like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) and the AirPods Max 2 have somewhere in the ballpark of 30 hours with ANC on. The Aventho Y do look pretty large as far as wireless headphones go, though, so that may just be the price you pay for battery endurance.

It’s not just battery life that makes the Aventho Y feel like a good deal, either. Probably my favorite unexpected feature is the inclusion of a USB-C dongle for low-latency playback. This feature is similar to the Fender Mix wireless headphones, and just like that pair, there’s room for storage inside the earcup so you don’t immediately lose it.

Outside of those features, there’s more to appreciate, like the foldable design, a user-replaceable battery, magnetic ear pads, aluminum sliders, and stainless-steel hinges. Overall, the components look both solid and very replaceable, which is more than most wireless headphones can say.

Probably the best part about the Aventho Y is that they aren’t going to break the bank. At just 150, they’re about half the price of flagship pairs of wireless headphones like Nothing’s Headphone 1. I haven’t had a chance to test the Aventho’s most important feature—the audio quality—but on paper these look like arguably the best new wireless headphones out of IFA.
