Right now the flat-panel television market has largely bifurcated into two categories: plasma TVs if you want something forty-inches or larger and LCD TVs if you want something smaller. But it looks like LCDs are finally getting closer to competing directly against plasma displays. A bunch of Taiwanese manufacturers are investing heavily in building larger LCD TVs, and several of them have already started showing off 40-inch LCD TVs, something that wasn’t really feasible just a few years ago.
