Ok, so maybe we messed up on the Japanese maple leaf, but we know a black Xbox 360 when we see one. The above ad is featured on at least one Gamespot page if you keep refreshing – which has been confirmed by the extensive Gizmodo weekend research staff (all me of us). Is this simply a photoshop mishap? Is this an early leak? Is this just a freak accident from a wormhole? My money is on early leak. A black 360 would give the Xbox a nice push going into the holidays. And Microsoft could offer early adopters a black faceplate so we can pretend to be cool.
