Borat and Bruno director Larry Charles is teaming with Terminator Salvation’s McG for a “prototype” television show about fanboys who decide to continue their favorite SF TV show themselves, after it gets cancelled. Has someone told the Phase II guys?
Variety reports that Seinfeld veteran Charles has signed on to write, produce and direct a “prototype” episode for a potential series, with McG producing through his Wonderland Sound and Vision banner at Warner Bros. TV. The show, as-yet-untitled, will be considered for the 2010/2011 season by NBC, according to the paper. McG already produces Supernatural and Chuck.
