At the Once Upon A Time panel at San Diego Comic-Con, producers screened a short clip that welcomed a new character to Storybrooke, Maine, in the coming fifth season: Merida from Pixar’s 2012 film Brave, who will be portrayed by Atlantis’s Amy Manson.
You can see for yourself, as the clip starts off with an scenic view of forested mountains before panning down, to a path. A girl in blue robes comes into view, drawing back her bow and firing off an arrow at a target. Taking a couple of steps back, she fires again and splits her first arrow in half, before pulling back her hood to reveal her brilliant red hair.
As with Once Upon A Time’s other cartoon-to-screen adaptations, it looks like they nail Merida’s look, and it’ll be exciting to see her on the show this coming season.
