Sure, the British military may think that their new communications satellite is going to save the world, but in classic disaster movie style, they may have gone too far. Once it joins with its sister platform in space, the system – which is both EMP-proof and laser-resistant – will relay communications between the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
And that’s not all; it’s also going to be cost-effective:
Spare bandwidth on the Skynet 5 system will be sold to Nato countries and other “friendly” governments, bringing revenue back to Paradigm and the MoD.
Wait. The Skynet system? Did that really just say Skynet?
