Canon has announced the PowerShot S2 IS, the follow up to the S1 released last year. The S2 IS continues the trend of adding high-end features into middle-range cameras, including the same DIGIC II image processor used in Canon’s DSLR line. In addition to a 5-megapixel resolution, the S2 IS also has a 12x optical zoom.
