Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man began screening for press Thursday night and buzz on the oddball Marvel movie was solid. However, if you can’t wait to see it, don’t fret. You can pretty much watch the whole movie right now thanks to a new Japanese trailer.
The film opens July 17 but, in the above video, two hours of story have been condensed into two minutes. It follows the narrative structure of the movie complete with some new, very spoilery footage and dialogue. How or why this is a trailer is beyond me, but it’s pretty hilarious to watch the story unfold so quickly and logically.
To be fair to Marvel, there isn’t anything here that ruins the movie per say — especially if you don’t know what to look for. (Come back and watch this again after the movie to have your mind blown.) There are still plenty of surprises left for the theater but, basically, this is the ant-sized version of Ant-Man.
