Sony Japan announced that it will release the Chameleon Eye Camera RPU-C1833. It features a 180-degree field of vision, which is impressive for its tiny size—1.5 x 1.2x 1.1 inch and 2.3 ounces. It’s a 3-Mio Pixel camera with a frame rate of 16 fps. The intended use is for ATMs to replace ceiling-mounted surveillance cams. But it might be fun to carry one of these around and see what kind of pics it makes. Available March 2006 for $900.
