The First Real Look Android Wear In Action on a Smartwatch

When Google announced its Android Wear smartwatch program, we got some slick little teasers detailing how it might look. We've seen bits of the interface and glimpses of hardware. But never all the pieces at once, until now.

It seems that some crafty Germans got their hands on a prototype version of LG's upcoming Android Wear device at the big LG G3 reveal, and proceeded to put up a stealthy (German) hands-on.

This hardware and software don't appear to be final, so there's a good chance the final product could be a lot smoother, but it's a good glimpse at what Android Wear will actually look like in action. Now if only someone would get a stealthy look at that sleek, round-faced Motorola sucker. [Android Community]

Not trying to be a jag, honesty curious. Why do I want a smartwatch? I've wondered that when I first heard about the concept and, after watching the video, I still don't know why I would need one.

Where will I be able to use this I can't use my phone?

How will something like this be a convenience for me?

Will it do something a smartphone or tablet won't?

Thanks!
