1992 was a simpler time. Bill Clinton was elected, The Bodyguard came out, Windows 3.1 was released. It was also a time when puppetry and animatronics still had a place in fantasy films.
Specifically, in 1992 special effects wizards were hard at work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3, the worst in a succession of three live-action TMNT flicks. The above video shows a glimpse of the animatronics used by the All Effects Company to create Donatello. The results were impressive for the time.
