China to Finally Sell Wi-Fi Equipped iPhones

After years of not being able to sell Wi-Fi-enabled iPhones in China, Apple will begin placing 8GB models on store shelves from this Monday.

It was only last October that China Unicom Ltd. actually started selling the iPhone in China, but they weren’t able to include Wi-Fi support due to issues with the Chinese government trying to introduced a competing product called WAPI. [Associated Press]
