Things do not look good for humanity in the first trailer for Sony’s The 5th Wave, based on the Rick Yancey novels.
We’ve got Moretz’s Cassie going through the empty world with a gun at the ready, while her voiceover lists the four other waves of alien destruction. Then Liev Schreiber shows up to talk about how screwed we are and then say we’ll win.
It’s all very bleak, but, as usual, Moretz looks like she’s doing a great job in the role of a girl desperately searching for her brother while the apocalypse goes on around her:
