Concept Buenos Aires Skyscraper Would Actually Be A Vertical Zoo

The idea behind the ECO-CLIFF, what the vertical zoo is called, is to create a wildlife tower that can act as a nesting ground for birds and an ecological habitat for animals. Humans will peek into animal life on footpaths.

The building will be relatively open to allow in natural sunlight, rain and fresh air and use a system of nets and cables to serve different functions. The general idea is to re-create a natural cliff (and all the animals that inhabit it).

The idea is probably too far-fetched but there’s no doubting its uniqueness and of course, attraction. A vertical zoo! Who wouldn’t want to see that. But I wonder, could animals live in skyscrapers or would they be too far out of their element? [ArchDaily]
